NGO "Actual woman" constantly invests time and attracts resources to increase capacity of the organization. During 2020 we implemented the project "Strategic planning and training under the program "Accounting in the non-profit sector" with support of ISAR Ednannia.
Within the framework of the project, we developed the 2020-2023 Strategic Development Plan and the 2020-2021 Operational Plan. The organization has a clearly defined mission, which is understood by all the members of the organization, it also has approved goals and objectives.
Participants of the team were trained in the programs "Accounting in the non-profit sector" and "Financial Management for NGOs", they took exams and got certificates. As a result, the Accounting Policy Regulations of the Organization have been updated, accounting is done properly and in a transparent way, which helps attract funding to achieve the results envisaged by the strategic and operational plans.
In 2020, members of the organization were trained and received certificates under the course "Documentation and Financial Management of Non-profitable Public Organization", which was conducted by the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) in Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.
In 2018, the project "Strengthening the organizational capacity of a public organization" was implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Women's Fund, which conducted trainings "Brand Communication and PR Strategy in a public organization" and "Internal policies and procedures in NGOs".
During the trainings, the participants of the organization and volunteers were given a deeper knowledge of the procedures and policies needed by NGOs to ensure their effective functioning and enhance their organizational capacity. Based on the results of the project, we developed and approved internal policies and procedures of the NGO "Actual woman", produced leaflets and banners "Actual woman: Equality, development, interaction", developed visual identity. Thanks to these measures the organization became more visible, which helps attract new partners and supporters.
