Ukrainian Corporate Equality Index

The Ukrainian Corporate Equality Index is a national survey of corporate policies, rules and practices of private and public companies to support equality and diversity, as well as the prohibition of discrimination in the workplace.

The index includes the study of methods and tools enabling companies to prevent and counteract discrimination in the workplace based on gender, age, disability, IDP status, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc., as well as events organised by companies that are aimed at supporting human diversity and promoting ideas of equality.

In 2020, the study identified TOP-10 large and TOP-5 small and medium-sized companies that respect human rights and prevent discrimination in the workplace. According to the 2020 results, the TOP-10 big business are British Council (94 points), EY in Ukraine (80 points), EPAM Ukraine (80 points), Lush Ukraine (79 points), Auchan Retail Ukraine (78 points) , Shell Retail Ukraine (76 points), Beetroot (71 points), GSK Ukraine (71 points), AB InBev Efes (70 points), Danone (69 points).

In 2020, for the first time, small and medium-sized businesses took part in the Corporate Equality Index by filling out a specially designed questionnaire. The top 5 SMEs include the following companies: Info Sapiens LLC (77 points), YaelAcceptic (69 points), Educational Center for Teachers, Parents and Children "ME AND MY SCHOOL" (67 points), "Green for you" Farm (64 points), WiserBrand (56 points).

Project «Ukrainian Corporate Equality Index 2020 as an advanced assessment tool for small and medium enterprises» was realized by NGO «Actual Woman» during 2020-2021 in partnership with NGOs «Fulcrum UA» and «Social Action Centre» with the financial support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
